Spiritual Significance

In Vaishnavite tradition, Garuda (the king of birds) is considered the foremost devotee and favored vehicle (Vahanam) of Lord Vishnu. Witnessing Lord Venkateswara in His full glory atop the Garuda Vahanam on a full moon (Pournami) night is believed to fulfill the desires of devotees, remove past sins, and bring immense peace and prosperity.
