The annual Pushpayagam of the famous Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Appalayagunta near Tirupati will be celebrated with immense religious fervor on July 30, 2026.
Conducted annually following the temple’s Brahmotsavams, the sacred Pushpayagam ritual serves as an act of atonement for any inadvertent lapses or omissions committed during daily or festival rituals. Temple priests perform this grand flower worship for the welfare, health, and spiritual prosperity of all devotees worldwide.
Detailed Schedule of Rituals (July 29 – July 30, 2026)
1. Preparatory Rituals (Ankurarpanam) – July 29
The festival celebrations will kick off on the evening of July 29 with holy preliminaries:
- Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
- Rituals: Medhini Puja, Senadhipathi Utsavam, and Ankurarpanam (the sacred seed-sowing ceremony).

2. Vedic Yagasala & Snapana Tirumanjanam – July 30
- Vedic Rituals (8:30 AM to 11:00 AM): Sacred chants and offerings in the Yagasala.
- Snapana Tirumanjanam (11:00 AM to 12:00 PM): The processional deities (Utsava Murtis) of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy, along with Goddess Sri Devi and Goddess Bhu Devi, will be bathed in holy ingredients including milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandalwood paste, and fresh coconut water.
3. Grand Pushpayagam & Veedhi Utsavam – July 30
- Pushpayagam (3:00 PM to 5:30 PM): Tons of vibrant, fragrant traditional flowers—including tulasi, jasmine, rose, lotus, chrysanthemum, oleander, mogali, and sampangi—will be offered at the feet of the Lord in an enchanting ceremony.
- Veedhi Utsavam (6:30 PM to 7:30 PM): The Lord and His consorts will be taken in a grand procession along the temple streets to bless the gathered devotees.

According to the temple priests, participating in or witnessing this sacred flower offering is believed to remove all lingering doshas (afflictions), bring peace and harmony to the world, and bless pilgrims with health, happiness, and the fulfillment of their noble wishes.
