1. Dual Sri Garuda Vahana Sevas
Devotees visiting Tirumala in August will have two opportunities to witness Lord Malayappa Swamy riding his favorite mount, the Garuda Vahanam:
- Garuda Panchami (August 17): Special procession through the four Mada Streets in the evening.
- Sravana Pournami (August 28): Monthly Garuda Vahana Seva held on the full moon day.
2. Srivari Annual Pavitrotsavams
The three-day annual Pavitrotsavams (purification rituals) will commence with Ankurarpanam on August 22 and conclude on August 25. During this period, priests perform special homams and seek forgiveness for any unwitting lapses committed in daily temple rituals throughout the year.
