TTD is organising a three-day holy annual festival of Jyeshtabhishekam from June 4-6 at Srivari temple as a part of Agama traditions in Jyesta masa and Jyesta Nakshatram.

In view of Coronavirus guidelines, the festival will be held in Ekantham at the Kalyan Mandapam inside the Sampangi Prakaram of Srivari temple.

As per the Agama pundits the Abhidheyaka Abhisekam is performed to utsava idols after removing the gold/silver/diamond armours in order to retain the divinity of the idols.

On the first day, the golden cover is removed for performing Snapana Tirumanjanam and later Sri Malayappa Swamy is adorned with Ratna Kavacham.

Archakas say that pearl cover is adorned to utsava idols on the second day and on the third day on final day after Snapana Tirumanjanam, the idols are dressed in the gold cover which is not removed till the annual Jyestabhishekam next year.
